Dr.Mahasweta Mitra Das is a passionate music specialist, mentor, and educator whose lifelong journey in music began in childhood. Overcoming severe speech impediment through the healing power of music, she has dedicated her life to exploring its profound impact on human existence, the environment, and beyond.
With a doctorate and an MPhil with a Distinction in Indian Classical Music from the University of Delhi, her research has focused on the intersection of music and environmental consciousness. As a teacher with over 22 years of experience, across the country, she has mentored and touched the lives of over 25,000 students, in prestigious IB & CBSE schools including those in special schools, orphanages and palliative care hospitals and juvenile justice homes.
Dr.Mahasweta Mitra Das is the co-founder of the global initiative Music Verandah, during the pandemic which connects people worldwide through the transformative power of music, and Green Verandah, a sustainability movement that integrates ancient chants and music to promote environmental awareness. Driven by a lifelong passion for learning and discovery, Dr. Mahasweta Mitra Das continues to expand her knowledge and contribute to the ever-evolving world of music.

I have professional communication skills in English, with an overall IELTS score of 7.0 (Writing 8.5, Speaking 8.0, Listening 6.5, Reading 6.5).
Professional Expertise :
I specialize in vocal music and hold a Major, Masters (batch topper and distinction holder), and a PhD research scholar degree in vocal Music from the Faculty of Music and Fine Arts, University of Delhi. I can sing, conduct choirs, compose with ease, and train singers in multiple languages. I have over two decades of experience teaching music to various age groups. I am also proficient in playing keyboard, piano, harmonium, tanpura (string instrument), and basic percussion instruments.
Educational Credentials :
My educational credentials have been verified through ECA to match Asia Pacific region standards. I also have IB accredited courses under International Baccalaureate levels 1 and 2.
